Who We Are

The Center for Living and Learning is a private non-profit Residential Treatment Facility on a 30-acre farm in Franklin, TN, housing adults who experience severe and persistent mental illnesses. We provide 24-hour residential care and job training in a therapeutic environment with emphasis on the highest level of functioning and independent living.

CLL Holiday Market

Join us for the Center for Living and Learning’s Holiday Market, Friday and Saturday, November 14 – 15, 2025, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., at the Center, 1979 Old Hillsboro Road, Franklin.  Shopping our market is one of the best ways to support Center for Living and Learning vocational trainees. Our trainees work hard making a wide variety of products available for sale, including hand poured candles, cooking mixes, all natural skincare products, art pieces and more.  All items are made with love and proceeds go directly back into CLL programming. Many of these items make the perfect hostess, teacher appreciation, or holiday gifts for family and friends.

Empowering Mental Wellness and Independence

At the Center for Living and Learning, discover a nurturing environment where individuals with mental illnesses find support, training, and the path to independent living. Residential Support

The Center for Living and Learning’s residential program provides 24-hour care and supervision for adults experiencing major mental illness. We use a customized approach to help each resident reach their highest level of functioning.

Vocational Training

Trainees in the Center for Living and Learning’s vocational program prepare to work independently through vocational lessons and on-site work experience. As trainees demonstrate appropriate skills on a consistent basis, we begin the process of job placement.

Psychiatric Care

The Center for Living and Learning provides comprehensive psychiatric care for adults age 21 and older who have been struggling with one or more mental health disorders. Our mental health program for adults features personalized services provided by a team of experienced and compassionate professionals in a safe and highly supportive environment.
